  • Bloom Where you Are Planted

God puts us right where he wants us. He wants us to use our gifts and talents to grow and bloom in his word and the path he has set before us. Sometimes, figuring out just what path to follow is hard, not the following God part, but the figuring out what to do with my God-given gifts and talents.

Several years ago, God spoke to my heart and was very clear with me about just what He has called me to do. I have always had a heart for women and for writing stories/devotions, speaking, and planning events, so now here I am, I have a ministry called God Styled Life Ministries, LLC. The ministry hosts day/weekend retreats, workshops, and team-building events, and the writing side has landed you here on this website.

It can be scary not knowing if you are doing what God has called you to do in a way that honors Him, for example, God always lays on my heart a theme and everything from A-Z and in between, praying over and knowing if you chose the right person to speak and will the message be conveyed the way he has in mind for it to be is something always strive for, I just want to be sure I am always aligning myself with the will of God.

The writer’s side of things is just as scary at times. I so want to glorify God with my words by telling a story and making sure it has scripture and is taking the reader along for the ride.

A few months ago, I was questioning everything about my writing. I had made a lot of progress, only to lose 3 chapters in the book. I still am not sure how it happened, but it did, and that discouraged me from writing on my current book, but recently God has spoken to my heart and has said get back into the story and just write!!

So I am blooming where I am planted and putting my head down and writing an even better story than what I had with God’s help, of course!

Where do you need to Bloom? Where has God Planted You?

Ask yourself these questions and then Bloom sweet child of God!

  • My life without a computer…

    My life without a computer…

It’s hard to imagine life without a computer, especially in this day and age. We live in a world of a fast pace life and using a computer gets us there even quicker.

As a Christ follower life without a computer would look something like having to look up scripture manually in a physical Bible. It would be doing research the old-fashioned way through books, physical newspapers if those even do exist today, an interview interviews.

We have become so dependent on computers for information at the speed of light, communication through email and social media to keep up with today’s happenings and family and friends.

I guess what I’m saying is it’s very hard in this day and age to not use a computer as they are so ready available to us. See if you can go one day without the use of a computer. I’m willing to try if you are.

  • Writer Girl Creates a Website…UGH

Why is this so complicated, I can’t even see where my blog post show up that alone figure out how to do a menu on my site. This whole it is so easy you can do it yourself is for the birds, which is funny because that is the theme of my first book that I am currently writing.

I can’t afford to pay anyone at this point to help design so for now it is trial and error and a lucky guess! The help section tries its best to educate me but I am a tough nut to crack student wise, I know the knowledge is in there somewhere it is just digging it out that is the challenge.

So to all you writer girls and boys out there bear with me as I challenge myself to figure it out! In the mean time enjoy what there is!
